Plastic Perspective, A Holga Zine, Issue #4
I rarely submit my film photography to any publication for any reason these days. I was pleasantly surprised to have one of my photos picked up and included in issue #4 of Plastic Perspective by Anna Starr, featuring only photos shot with a Holga. The Holga is probably one of my favorite cameras to shoot with. Yea, I realize a lot of people hate it because it is a toy and prone to defects and light leaks. I get all of that. But the simplicity of the camera is what I enjoy the most. I don’t have the same planning as I do with a digital camera, yet I still have to think through the shot. I love seeing an entire publication devoted to the same process.
From Anna:
The 4th issue of Plastic Perspective: A Holga Zine. It contains a collection of my own photography and featured photography by others from around the world. All photos in the zine were taken with a Holga camera. The zine measures 5.5″x8.5″ and contains 40+ color pages of photography. Photos 1 shows a digital image of the cover. Photos 2, 3 & 4 are real photos of Issue 4.
